Yes, he is talking with Miami coaches. And yes, of course our coaches are still on him.

I thought he was pretty solid to LSU. Did anything change or is he just doing his due process?

Being pressured by some at his school that want him at Miami. Same pressures that were on the Johnson/Peterson's. Ties to the Johnson/Peterson family and some ties to the LSU staff should keep him committed. Just hope he qualifies.

What does his situation with grades look like? I know he was a concern. And how solid is his commitment to us?

If you read between the lines you see the same thing with Safety Jamal Carter, the Miami commit LSU is trying to flip. Cainesinsite (Miami recruiting site)

quote:

Carter discussed how the recruiting process has treated him over the past month while being committed to Miami since the summer.

"It's really crazy because I have a lot of people telling me Miami is where I should be and then I have other coaches like at Clemson just telling me some things that have me confused."

Two major factors are really keeping him tied in with the 'Canes.

"My family really wants me here in Miami, especially my momma.

If he wants to stay close to home, play in an empty stadium, and mediocre postseason games then he needs to stay in Miami.

If he wants to play in packed houses every single weekend, play for conference and NC championships, and be a contender every week, he should honor his commitment.

Thanks jrevonte. Everything I read about this young man seems to point to an enthusiastic competitor. Seems like the type who will add physical skills but also some emotional fire to LSU football. I just get the sense he will bring some of those intangibles people talk about. Definitely hope he sticks.

As long as Queen Donna is in charge Miami will be on the outside looking in. She will not allow the institutional commitment required for a successful football program, and Miami just doesn't have enough big time financial contributors to overcome the administration's indifference to the football program. Throw in the NCAA sanctions, and things will be pretty bleak for the Canes for several years at minimum.

And that is unfortunate for college football because the game, in the big picture sense, is more interesting when the Canes are competitive.

0% chance that robinson flips for miami..

"“I would just tell them to look forward to me playing in Death Valley and to be playing in purple and gold. That’s where my heart is.”"

this quote from him a few days ago reassures that
