I know we're out of the playoffs and it's been a rough year, but

We're 1 for 2 with Atlanta, and we beat Dallas. This year has been alright.

. . . and the Defense improved from being the Worst in NFL History to merely Worst in the League in 2012.
Things are looking up, for sure.
Next season, I predict that the Saints will have a Top 30 Defense.

For everything that happened in the offseason, we were destined to go 2-14 or 3-13. Instead, we had what could be considered an average season by historical Saints standards, we have a chance to end up .500, we were in the playoff hunt until week 16, we ended the Falcons' chance at perfection, we went 2-1 against the Falcons and Cowboys. It certainly isn't the 10-win or 11-win season I was hoping for in the preseason, but we haven't hit rock bottom and assuming the Payton situation ends up OK we should be back and ready to make a good run next season.

White Perch - Don't mean to hijack the thread but I was wonderin if the crappie are bitin'. This crappy season got me to thinkin' of that. Fixin to go up to D'arbonne to catch some at New Year.
