Anyone else do this? Been thinking about developing a couple websites in my spare time.
Any good web resources? Books?

Will you be able to maintain them yourself? Website maintenance can get pretty pricy.

www.abestweb.com

WickedFire - I won't link to it because part of the forum is like the O-T with no rules so there is some porn and such. But otherwise a decent forum.

www.warriorforum.com - Some good info however there is also plenty, plenty scams and ebooks to be bought that I would avoid.

Run your sites on Wordpress. Socrates is a decent paid theme.

I'm thinking a out learning and doing the maintenance myself, or I may pay a college student to do it. I'm really in the info gathering stage right now, I hope to have something live by march.

Wordpress will make it much easier to maintain or at least do updates on your own.

Do you have any experience with Go Daddy? I checked the website and it looked like it made things fairly easy.

Their website builder? No, I haven't used. It doesn't make the best looking sites plus i'm not sure how search engine friendly it is.

For domain names I have used them and probably had 50 or so with them a few years ago. I've moved most of my domain business aways from them and 1&1 to namecheap.com. GoDaddy's website is really annoying with tons of upsells and an always changing customer area interface.
