My favorite song from the musical and the best thing I have seen from the clips yet.

Russell Crowe is just not doing it for me as Javert.

I didn't expect him to be amazing. My expectations for him were very low and still are.

With the exception of Hugh Jackman and Samantha Barks, the singing is marginal at best, but it's to be expected since they cast actors rather than singers. I just wonder if it will grow old hearing them warbling through the songs, rather than singing them strongly like stage actors would do...especially since there is very little dialogue that is not sung.

I think Aaron Tveit and Eddie Redmayne as Enjolras and Marius weren't that good. One of the best songs in the whole musical and it wasn't powerful at all. I feel like it would have been better in studio for that. Also, I think Russell and Amanda did a pretty good job. I was actually expecting worse so I was pleased. This is the best I've seen on youtube. Even Nick Jonas did a good job.

Funny...I thought he was the weak link in that entire cast. This is the only version of the Les Miserables musical I have seen all the way through so I really can't judge how it should "sound" but I felt as if Jonas's voice lacked that upper octave the character needed.

As to the clip...I thought Aaron Tveit and Eddie Redmayne both did fantastic jobs. My only problem is I feel Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne lack the "eye candy" for the role of the lovers. I remember when Taylor Swift was being considered for the part of Eponine ( ) but also remember thinking Swift would be a decent Cosette, if just for the eye candy factor alone.

Yeah it's the only one I've seen too. Jonas isn't great compared to all of those actors on Broadway but it wasn't terrible. I guess i expected the whole thing to be a little more powerful. I'll still watch of course.
