Tree mounted cameras?

I'm in the market for an outdoor camera to give as a gift. I would like one that can be mounted to a tree, take pictures at night, 5+ megapixel, and if possible can detect birds. Price range $100-175. Suggestions?

I would delete this thread and put it on the outdoor board. You'd get exactly what you're looking for on there.

Look into the Moultrie D-85 ( I think). Small green one. Will last 90 days on 6 AA batteries. Decent trigger speed and infa-red.

Is $120 a good price for that? I found a D-55 for $120.

Yes. I've had that one and the M-80xt ( I think). I've gotten clear pics of crows in flight with them. Moultrie will likely be best for the price you're looking for
