Luckily you don't live in Harris County. Tax dollars can buy some really nice things. The Rockets/NBA paid for their new scoreboard.

I think the texans and rodeo paid for the new video boards.

Too bad these video boards are in a shitty spot within the stadium.

Houston is a city place for a SB. Won't happen again for a long time.

Definitely is a city place for it. One of a few city places. 2004 was a great success.

I went to the 04 Super Bowl. The day before, there were events in downtown Houston. It was a complete clusterfrick getting around - took around 90 minutes to find a cab, and the cabbie was hammered. Everything is too damn spread out in Houston.

The stadium is very nice though.

ETA - nobody around us was aware of the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction...we all thought the talk would be about the streaker at the start of the third quarter which was hilarious. Good times.

Reliant is a nice stadium but nothing stands out about it. Nothing unique.

But Houston is a better Super Bowl city than Dallas. Cowboys stadium is in the subburbs, reliant is at least on a rail line.
