OK, I must have missed something with this Benchmark thing. Anyone want to explain?

Someone came on yesterday saying how great Benchmark was for the price, how it had won awards at Whiskey festivals in blind taste test by judges, even edging out Pappy before. Also someone said a high profile bartender at a high end place in NOLA said he wished they could use it as their house whiskey cause its so good and cheap but they won't let him cause no one knows what it is.
Thats the cliff notes version...it appears some of us have gone out to try it for ourselves haha. I'll report back later

Benchmark is the comp'd bourbon at most of the charity events that I have been to lately. Benchmark doesn't edge out Buffalo Trace, much less Pappy 20.

Ended up with these in my truck after work today, not sure how that happens. But happy to add to the W12 collection at the house. And I guess I'll give the Benchmark a try and a blind try at that price...

That Weller is my "daily drinker" I would try benchmark but it's always sold out.

I don't feel like I have ever been played so bad, maybe I'll give it another try sometime but that stuff was not good, it deserves its $8 price tag
