$500 too much for pappy 23? $300 for a 20? TIA

23 goes for $1200-$1300 while the 20 goes for $900 or so...

If you decide not to take them, I will. LOL

BTW - I strongly prefer the 20 to the 23.

Cheers and enjoy

Haha you sho did. EHT tornado is amazing.. I wish I had a bottle.

I'm actually quite excited to try this at the Avenue. I haven't seen a bottle at a bar in a long time, so I'm looking forward to it.

Separately, I just looked at their website, and the Avenue is having a really nice beer event beginning at 5pm on 12/31. They are tapping a keg of Fou Foune, which is one of my favorite Cantillon lambics, so I'm looking forward to getting started early on NYE.

I might have to try it at Avenue as well - thanks for the info. I bought a bottle of tornado surviving EHT in 2012 and haven't cracked it open yet thinking the tornado/bottle limit story was more marketing genius than anything else (I knew it would be worth some coin later). If it's tasty however that bottle might just get opened.

I enjoyed it a lot, thought it was almost as good as WLW and Stagg. Great flavors. Found a sharpness to the finish. Thought water helped.

I do believe that WLW had the lowest bottle count this year.

Rathskeller is a rye that was bottled for the Seelbach hotel in Louisville and was distilled in the 80's. It's pretty hard to come by, but I've seen it at some really good bourbon bars. My wife has never had a pour, so I figured that it would be something she would enjoy.

Additional Info regarding Rathskeller

That's going to be the third time this year she has Fou Foune on tap. So good.

This. The 23 is good, but I'll take the 15 or 20 over it any day especially for the price (though the 20 is my favorite). I just traded a 23 and 10 to get another 15 and 20.
