Fwiw, I like the guys at HP, and if it was stacked for regular customers, I'm ok with it. Kind of the way it should be IMO. There's really not a great way to distribute the precious few that make it into circulation. Give it to good customers and it pisses the random hopefuls get pissed, do a truly random drawing and the regulars get pissed off. What's a store owner to do?

Beard, apparently that's what at least some of the Spec's do. All based on having the loyalty card and tracking purchases throughout the year. And THAT is probably the fairest way.

Depending on what state ABC liquor does a loyalty program. You give them your phone number at checkout.

Might be. Depends...some may just buy a few expensive things...some might be in there every week buying small stuff. It's never going to be fair for everyone..sucks but way it is. Sucks for the people at the stores too trying to figure it all out.

Bought some Bulleit tonight, never had it... but have heard pretty good things. Really enjoyed the Elijah Craig I recently tried... A local store just started carrying Jefferson's reserve, so i think that will be my next to try, that or 4 roses.
