Tried William Larue Weller for the first time tonight. Man, was it good. It has a sweetness to it that I loved, but you can feel every bit of the 123 proof. Very complex, similar to the Jefferson 18. I've never had Pappy 15 but my bartender swears the Weller is better than P15. Might be blasphemy, but if you see a bottle, buy it.

Bought some For Roses the other night. I love it. My usual go to bourbon is Elmer T Lee. Hard to beat for the price and taste.
Was at Phillipe's the other day talking to one if his sons about the Jefferson Presidential Select 18 year. I bought a bottle a while back but haven't opened it yet. He told me the Jefferson Very Small Batch is way better in his opinion. And about 20-30 less in price. Opened it up that night and tried it. It's very good. Can't compare it to its older brother but I will enjoy this one.

FredSecunda just sent this photo of his bar. I'd say it's just about complete.

Here's the most recent pic of our bar. I'm out of a lot of the higher end stuff and b/w holidays and upcoming costs for tests and such, it'll be a while before I can replace those

Went to whole foods recently, the bourbon selection is limited but they have really good prices. Elijah craig 12 yr for around 22, elmer t lee for 27, and rock hill farms for around 42 i believe. Great price on the rock hill farms compared to other spots in Baton Rouge. What is yalls go to spot in town? I'm in 70808 so Cubans or Marcellos on Perkins is usually where i end up.

Ok someone on here mentioned drinking Kentucky Bourbon Ale. Aka the beer of bourbon country.

Question. Do you chill it or room temp? I just bought a 4-pack and want to give it a twirl.
It doesn't say on the packaging.
