I actually haven't spent that much money changing between builds. The only time I really splurged was when I bought my second 7950. I usually take the money I made off selling my last build and put that into a new build

OK, while the 3820 will overclock like crazy it doesn't actually outperform a 2600k, 2700k or 3770k in terms of what I'll use it for. Playing with overclocking is fun for me but it's far from my primary objective.

I will either build something based on a 3770k or wait another month or two to see what the Haswell line brings to us. That should also mean even lower prices on 3770k if I choose to go that route.

Yeah, I'm not sure when it will even make sense for me to upgrade from my 2600k. I built a water cooled 3770k system last yearfor a customer, overclocked it as far as I could with a reasonable voltage, and ran some real world tests in video encoding and whatnot. Negligible differences, and The 3770k even had faster/more ram.

I'll probably stay with what I have for now. What prompted this is that I received a 2TB HD and a 480G SSD for Christmas.

My current machine has 8G of RAM so I might go ahead and up that to 16G.

The cooler master is a great cooler as well, but it is HUGE. Love my h80, though

Edit: May have to postpone the drawing until tomorrow because I won't be back at my computer until then

my hyper 212+ does an outstanding job but I would love the H80 for when I throw the 8 core in here.

Not at the moment but I ever decided to I would know that the hardware was suitable for the job. Plus, I already have the motherboard and thing is less than $200.

Updated with drawing odds for prizes! I will use THIS random generator to decide the picks. The number of "tickets" you have indicates the number of times your name will be used in the generator.

It's not updated for any "ticket" number, I think we all trust you to just do the drawing.

I will enter each one of y'alls names for however many tickets you have.

If you have 5 tickets, I'll enter your name 5 times. Makes it a lot easier for me rather than writing each persons name down 12-62 times

So are u gonna draw a list of people and then let them pick their prize or is each prize assigned to someone. Just trying to work in those who just participated for fun or those who might only be interested in certain prizes
