Does wireless range expanders help with online gaming? My connection is absolute shite and I have no way of hardwiring my PS3 in. Any suggestions would be much obliged

I thought they did in this one, except it's based on points. And they give you less points when you get kills with your streaks. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think getting a kill with a lightning strike is like 25 points instead of 100.

Correct - they add to your scorestreak, but at a reduced score.

Yes, that is a great move. So is giving you assist points for having a UAV up or a Guardian. That little noise the Guardian does when you get hit markers is nice.
