Is Tiger Stadium going to artificial turf?

I heard a rumor that the South End Zone expansion was going to cast such a shadow that the turf would not going to recieve enough natural direct light to sustain it, and would ultimately have to be replaced with a different type of sod or an artificial one.
Does anyone know if there's any truth to that rumor?

I know the guy who re-sods/aerates the field for TS, the box, and the softball fields. He hasn't expressed any concern.
