At this point: I consider it unwise to pursue a piston driven rifle over mil-spec gas impingement. If there is a ban, you want access to as many parts as possible for your rifle (upper). I know that technically the upper isn't the gun, but I live in a world without limits when it comes to the Government's desire to remove liberty.

I've got a question regarding Magpul sights. I was checking some out on ebay and noticed that some were Magpul USA and some were Magpul PTS. From what I understand the PTSes are the international versions. The price is also 1/3 of the USA models. Is the difference in quality that drastic? I'd like to think if they're putting their name on it then it must be pretty reliable, but I'm still wary.

PTS is for airsoft guns. It's made out of a different (weaker) type of polymer I believe.
Probably fine on a .22

I guess I should have clarified that I bought a LWRC piston rig 5 years ago. Unless LWRC goes out of business I didn't even consider that an option. I can see your point however.

Guys, I know why you are tempted to sell your stuff in this bubble, but you're taking one HELL of a risk. Word is Federal Ammunition is backordered until 2015. Do you think MagPul and all the other AR manufacturers are any different?

Just got back from Lamar Dixon gun show. I saw dealers with AR's selling for $2400 and up. : shocked: I sold mine for $1600. I haven't seen a gun show that busy since Clinton was in office.
