Awesome, they are coming out with a high end 1-8x probably next year but it's going to be $1500. Glad you are enjoying it, I need to mount the vortex soon

I'd rather go a top brand for 1500.

Seems like they are trying to break into the top end

From what I see on the scopes, they don't offer the same warranty/guarantee as Vortex and others. Maybe it will change but they will have to be badass scopes to compare to Vortex and Leupold at that price range.

Looks good, did you shoot everything suppressed?
I have a noveske 8.2" sitting around, just trying to figure out what I want to do with it.

Well I was considering selling it, but recently ammo prices have been looking good

Still trying to make that decision, but I will probably keep it, noveske isn't making the 8.2" anymore apparently, they decided to streamline it to the 8.5".
re: Official AR-15 threadPosted by tiddlesmcdiddles on 10/21/14 at 6:38 pm to burgeman
Yup I noticed that last week.
You should build it out though. I'm impressed with mine after finally shooting it.

I probably am, need to get a trust together for the suppressor and sbr it. I have the barrel and a bcm upper to put it in. Just trying to find an 8" mlok rail but I don't think anyone has made one yet.
re: Official AR-15 threadPosted by tiddlesmcdiddles on 10/21/14 at 8:14 pm to burgeman
You'll have to be careful with rail choice. The reason noveske made the 8.2" was because the 8" barrels (when used with 7" carbine length rails) were not allowing suppressor so to mount onto the barrels without contacting the rail. So 7" rails work with 8.2" barrels for this reason. An 8" rail would work with an 8.2" barrel if it were a open design that allows a suppressor to go under the rail such as with the seeking mcsr or bar rail systems

May just get a traditional picatinny something from centurion or dd.
re: Official AR-15 threadPosted by tiddlesmcdiddles on 10/21/14 at 9:21 pm to burgeman
I went with DD. centurions are great as well.
this gives you a good idea of what an 8.2" barrel looks like with a 7" rail. notice how close the suppressor is to the rail...that .2" is needed
comparing it under a 16" DDM4V1
