I've been tossing around the idea of throwing a 1-4x on my 16" bcm upper for a kind of recce build. This wouldn't be a bad choice tho.

I'm assuming you're talking about the rail covers. The ones on the sbr are a bit over the top. They do make holding the rail more comfortable. I'll probably end up removing most of the ones on the SBR just leaving a few on the front end. I may be replacing the entire rail with a key mod setup. I haven't decided yet.

So I just ordered all components to my first "Budget" build. My goal was to stay under $600. I came in at about $630.
