I one on my M&P15, and it is noticeably lighter than my stock handguard on teh Bushmaster. Even with the vertical foregrip. Make sure you pick up some of the bolt on rail sections when you buy the handguard.

I bought a Sig 516 today for $1,660. Shipping included. Was that a decent price, or did I get raped?

Anything below $1800 right now is a steal, but I think that's a good price for the Sig.

I disagree, just have to be patient. Daniel Defense is still allowing orders in their create a weapon feature, and a shop had them marked up only $50 bucks just a couple days ago.

Not true, I just threw together a BCM upper on a palmetto state lower for under $1500. Just be patient and do not over pay for stupid shite. A DPMS is not worth $1800 ever, not in this climate or the end of the world. Daniel Defense just had a rifle selling for $1800, that is worth every penny. Wait on deals (basically retail now), they are there just more scarce. Some places are not price gouging (BCM, Palmetto State, Daniel Defense, Rainier Arms) so stick around those sites for what you need.

No that is a good price, basically retail. I am just trying to stop the thinking that everything is over priced. Everything is out of stock not over priced, the only things that are realistically tough to find are mags and ammo and they pop up in stock too. If you have patience, you do not have to over pay.
