No, keep it, lil Drew may need it someday

Few buddies and I are cancelling some of our Brownells and other pre-orders since so many are popping up online, and I think I want to jump on those Seekins next time. Only one is for me, future .300 BLK build, and two are for him.

Anyone in this thread do a build with an 80%? It's the only thing I'm considering doing. The two sources I'm looking at should have some available next month.

I was looking at getting the drilling jig from cncguns and I think he recommends the $200 craftsman drill press. At least I know I read somewhere that it works well with the jig. If I end up feeling that its too tall an order, I have access to a machine shop and know a few machinists that can guide me through it.

Waste of time and money unless you already have your own machine shop. Even if you have the materials you still have to have it coated. PSA is stocking lowers, spikes has a huge back log but you can find the stripped lowers on GB at markup. After you buy tools and pay for machining you might as well have bought a finished one.

I'm not looking to do just one. I've researched anodizing and I'm not worried about that. I want to have at least a couple cerakoted as well.

PSA has polymer lowers for $69.99 in stock.

I think I'm starting a 300 BLK build soon. Gonna make it my deer rifle. Suggestions?

Dont use polymer. They are not quite up to par with a billet or forged lower yet. They will work fine, until they dont.

No, not using polymer lower on this build. Just posting for anyone looking.

The Noveske uppers are fine and that's probably what I'll end up going with.

Still waiting in my bcg to finish my first build. Supposed to ship 4/1.

AAC is good too. I think CMMG is something to steer clear of, but others may disagree.

Any billet lowers popping up around $100-$120 lately?

I'm gonna take my time on this one. Not going cheap or cutting corners, but want to cut the premium prices as much as possible.

I've been checking it too. A lot popping up around $150-180. I think they'll come down a little more in the next few months. Probably not to $80 though.

From a resale value perspective I'd go with the first link. That one has the MUR-1A upper receiver. Also for whatever reason the chainsaw ones seem to be more sought after on gunbroker. They are always listed for obscene prices.
ETA: well really just from an overall "being better" perspective as well. That rainier one is a full noveske upper, the pk one just has a noveske barrel.
