How is it the same mag?

The rounds are much smaller aren't they?

And changing out a barrel isn't easy, right?

Overall round length is the same. 223 casing is shaved down but it's a 308 bullet.

I wouldn't say changing a barrel is super easy, you'd kinda have to know what you're doing. Need a vice, torque wrench, and you'll have to put the gas block on

yeah, upper swap is the way to go, i wouldn't want to be messing with all that all the time.

Plus, you would have to re sight your optics every time you did a swap.

Just get two different uppers. Every single thing is interchangeable, except the barrels. So, if something breaks once the zombies come, you have replacement parts.

I thought we were talking about .223 and 22 here. Not 308

The rounds that come in the minimag boxes are way smaller.

We're talking 223 vs 300 BLK, not 22LR.

Wow, completely misread...

It would take a complete upper swap and mag swap for a 22 change right?

How much are complete uppers for 22s going for?

Not sure what they're going for, never really look into it because I can buy a 223 upper for around the same price.

From what I've gathered, you can buy a complete 15-22 for just a bit more than the upper.
