What's the purpose of that?
And how is a 1:8 that much more versatile?

fluted gives the barrel a the same shooting capability of the big bore barrel yet reduces the weight of the barrel by 4 ounces. It's kinda like a hybrid of the lightweight tactical vs the big bore and also the fluted surface gives the barrel more surface area to cool off.
1-8 gives you a bit better versatility of what grain bullets to shoot. It can still shoot your lighter bullets yet shoot the big bullets better than a 1-7 would as well.

I get that it can shoot lighter bullets but how would it shoot the bigger bullets better, with less twist?

BCM upper still in stock
TTT must be in a meeting
Great value, if you see the CHF barrel option soon, you will see one of these on bayoushooter in a couple weeks

maybe i had backwards, 1:7 does heavier bullet better. I keep getting told different shite.

The 1:7 twist will shoot the heaver 72 and 84 grain rounds perfectly, but anything below 55 grains is questionable. The 1:8 will do the heavier ones fine, but also the 50 grain, and maybe the 45ish grain better than the 1:7.
