I cleaned all that dry lube shite out of my upper and drenched both it and my bcg in CLP and charged it with no magazine 10 times or so then dried the majority, but not all, of the excess running everywhere. Ran like a champ. I had read that for breaking them in the upper and bcg should be very wet with oil.

Break Free CLP (clean, lubricate, protect). Great shite for cleaning/oiling firearms.

Wouldn't "drenching" the upper and BCG cause some to drip down into the lower? Thought you wanted to avoid that.

Already knocked the white shite off and it took the finish with it. I'll post the pics in here to make it easier.

Here's just the general scuffs.

And here is the white shite before I knocked it off and after.

Is that a BCM bolt?

You do know they test fire those before sending them out?

So not having the finish and the part where the white shite was an now there's no finish won't be a problem?

Well I knocked it off and it took the finish with it. I'm going to call them today to make sure its fine but I'm sure it is.

The entire upper has a thin layer of oil on it so I will have some cleaning to do tonight before I can build it.
