Nice. I might have to try to turn a profit on some of my gear. You're giving me ideas, and thats usually not a good thing

I just took a look at the SI Defense website and lower looks pretty solid. What kind of Vortex is on it? Those can get pricey.

Yes the receiver looks solid, and the gun performed flawlessly.
The scope is a vortex strikefire red/green dot.

Seems like a decent price, have to have Carson or olgoi or bapple confirm that though, they're the experts around here.

The vortex strikefire is a high end budget optic. That's about $150 used. So the rifle is a little over a grand. For a reference point, that is about what I paid for the BCM that is my #1 go-to rifle. Of course, I had to put a hand guard, optics and accessories on it, so I am in neck deep at this point, but $1000 -$1100 used to be a good starting point on a rifle that you can trust with your life and pass on to your son one day. Can you toss out some specs on it? I have no first hand experience with SI or Delton, only word of mouth. Materials are as important as brand. For starters, tell me what you know about the barrel and BCG.

Prices are so out of whack, that even with specs, it's hard to tell what's a deal any more. I just sold an $1100 rifle for $2300 and could've gotten more if I had been even a little patient.

If supply catches up with demand and this blazing panic cools a little, everyone that bought a rifle during this shitstorm is going have regrets.

I had a feeling a couple years ago and did a few years worth of buying, so I am in a position to profit off of this situation. My advice is to be very careful what you buy right now and don't get something that isn't what you want just to say you got one (lots of people are doing this). Do you know what you want or what you want the rifle to be able to do?

I put one of these on my AR. Good optic. Comes with a 2x magnifer you can screw into the rear eye piece and you can switch between read and green. I think i got mine new for between 150-200 new from opticsplanet.com but that was at least a year ago. The only problem I have is that the dot will obscure targets beyone 100 yards. At 25 yards on a normal man sized target the dot will completely obscure the head but if zeroed properly will still tack right in the middle.

I have a 7" upper on the way. The guy included a CMMG BC for an extra $160 and I was relieved. They were not plentiful before all of this shite started now there like finding hens teeth.

If you want to buy an AR, mags, parts or ammo, the best thing is to order from several good, reliable suppliers. You'll be backordered until late-Summer at least, but at least one of them will come through.

Debating on whether or not to buy a whole new quad rail or just add an adapter to the bottom of my standard dovetail.

Think I might put the foregrip in front of my flashlight too so it can be further up. Just use a pressure sensitive connection and a side mount adapter. Or just keep it simple with foregrip frost and a standard 1" push button ligh.

I wanted to keep this one simple but it's too fun fixing these things up.
