Let it go. He saw it as it happened and was right to be pissed. It's better than people like John McLain here in houston talking about how the Texans are great , blah, blah blah because he works for them. Lsu sucked arse tonight. It happens.

Long way to travel to play a game jet lag and shite. They shot double the free throws we did and we had 21 turnovers. Can,t win that way!

Being positive or negative about the team has never bothered me. If you ever watch a game in person while listening to Hawthorne it's like listening to a different game at times, that is what bugs me about it. Not just fast moving plays either but baseball as well.

The mark of a good play-by-play announcer is that the listener enjoys the game but is not aware of the broadcaster's presence. A complete verbal painting of the action is given to the audience without distraction or disruption.
Hawthorne? Sometimes when listening to Hawthorne you wonder what happened to the game. The mistakes, disruptions and complaining leave me exhausted.

I work at papa johns, and this season i was only able to catch 3 games. I was at the alabama game, and watched the florida and south carolina games. The rest I was forced to listen to him as I am a delivery driver. Don't judge, i also coach at a local high school (still in college). Hawthorne is terrible. His emotions skyrocket on 5 yard completions that make you think the other team just completed an 80 yard bomb. I remember one of OBJ's returns where hawthorne said " he fields the ball makes a man miss, has a wide open field and IS tackle for a 5 yard gain." he throws you completely off and it's hard to follow the games. Typically I just have a friend text me game updates.

I live in south Florida and get to listen to both fsu and uf games on the radio. Both the uf and fsu announcers are superior to Hawthorne
