Just wondering what sites do y'all use to get game reviews?

IGN, Destructoid, and YouTube vids.

I find IGN to be the most reliable.

almost have to read them all to get a true picture. however, after the debacle of D3, IGN and the rest lost a lot of credibility in my opinion.

I dont think there is any game that one or more on here cant review. You can find players with similar tastes in games.

metacritic.com
It compiles all reviews for a game to give an average score out of 100. It's about as good as you can get aside from trying a game for yourself.

I do take all of them with a grain of salt.

Game trailers.com usually has good reviews

average score
Not really. They cherry pick which reviews are chosen and then weight the values of each review however they feel. Dislike Metacritic greatly. Not to mention that if a review doesn't list a numeric score or grade, they assign a score to it themselves.
If you want an actual average, then gamerankings is what you're looking for. It has the same cherrypicking though.
Personally, I stopped paying attention to game reviews a long ago. I know what type of games I like and I buy them. It hasn't failed me once in the past 3-4 years. Of course, I listen to friends and am influenced by word of mouth, but not someone working in a line of work with 0 credibility.

Same here when it comes to buying games. I still rent games though, but I tend to go off of hype and opinions of friends over reviews.

:kige:
Dragon's Dogma and Far Cry 3 are the only 2 games I can remember buying because of reviews that I didn't previously already want.

IGN is WAY too generous with their reviews. They love to give out high scores. I've found Gamespot to be a more accurate game critic site.

I agree gamespot.com is where it's at.

that's gamespot.. which is by far one of the least bias "big" review websites.
For anyone that said IGN or GT.. I do love those websites, don't get me wrong, but IGN and GT are KNOWN to be in bed with the production companies for curving the bigger games scores.
