things like this would be a reason for no NCAA FB team to every hire the former OSU coach..It would surprise me if he ever gets a gig in college again

This really isn't anything new fwiw.

And drugs and sex are pretty much the life of any high profile college player if they so choose.

We all knew he took golf, etc. That all came out at the time.

No, happened to long ago. I guess the cars being given to players for real good deals from a certain dealer was true?!?!?! But, OSU got out of it. Im sorry, but most college kids cant afford fancy cars while being at college. Dont know how OSU got away with that one, esp since it was from one dealer. And it was going on for years.

Well, being as I live in Big Ten country, I now reserve the right to throw this in the face of anyone who claims this conference is clean.

Throw the fact that Jim Tressel, Head Coach, lied directly to the NCAA.

Really rub it in their face.

Maurice Clarett's problem is he thinks the NFL life is drugs, women, and fast cars.

What is it, if not that? He was in the NFL for a short while, I so I assume he knows what he's talking about.

None of the Clarett stuff is surprising except that I didn't know for sure that he was traveling to actually kill a guy when he was caught. I thought there was a chance he was just paranoid as frick from all of the drugs he was taking at the time.

The guy lasted a few practices in the NFL, nothing more. At the time, his teammates were shocked at his off-the-field behavior and that he would bring a bottle of vodka, pour it into a sports bottle, and drink it after practice. That idea makes me want to vomit, I don't know how it's humanly possible, to be honest.

He must have been a full-blown alcoholic for years. All that being said, his blog showed that he is an extremely intelligent person when he actually gives a frick. We'll see if that continues for the rest of his life or if he goes back to crime and drugs.

I heard he was drinking during lifting sessions. He'd tell his teammates, "I gotta go get my goose (Grey Goose) on." He'd go swig some vodka and then walk back into the weight rooms. A lot of athletes suffer from some form of substance abuse, which is amazing considering how well most of them manage to stay in shape.

The buckhurt in this thread is awesome

I wonder from time to time why Tressel isn't kicked around sometimes for a smaller school needing a HC thats rebuilding that could weather another year of sanctions. Then I read this kinda shite and remember

It's not butthurt. Ohio State fans on here are pretty realistic about things imo.

This is nothing new, this all came out before hence why Clarett was suspended. Ohio State could have won back to back championships in 2003 as well if Clarett would have been eligible.

Well. yeah.I guess im saying for a long time I disregarded the Youngstown stuff. I misguidedly thought the vest ran a ACAP (as clean as possible) ship at OSU for years

Never really considered that it was SMU with immunity

But it was
