Rangers have
Kinsler who will turn 31 in June
Beltre will turn 34 in April
Murphy just turned 31
Cruz turns 33 in July

Good thing Profar and Elvis are under 25 and Moreland is 27 because that core is old in baseball years

He had two or three years that exceeded that level.

Last year he was terrible. But I blame his idiotic manager who kept hitting him first instead of moving him down the lineup.

The good news is that when they tank this season, they can fire Washington and get a real manager.

(At the chance of any "real manager" wanting to come to Texas, that is)

I think they need to get Bourn
So you would prefer Bourn at 5 years and 80-85 million over Hamilton at 5 years and 125 million?

Rangers need to trade Andrus for some young talent now.

Preferably to the Cardinals.

He had 4 out of 7 seasons that exceed that, roughly half. Hence why his AVERAGE over his career is .350

155 games- .355 OBP
157 games- .326 OBP
... 2008 he had a .375 OBP in 121 games and 2010 he had a .382 OBP in 103 games....

Second half of season over last 3 seasons .245 AVG .327 OBP he wears down

I would have to really think about it.I don't think I'd go to 5 years with Bourn. His market seems to have cooled and come down, from what I read.

(Not to the trade idea, Andrus isn't going to stay with Texas so we should deal him. To the idea that I would want to make a deal with the team that kept me from ever seeing the Rangers win a World Series in my lifetime.)

Yes...I'm aware of what AVERAGE means.

I watched him play every day the last two seasons. He was terrible in 2012. He was particularly terrible in the second half of 2012.
