Guess I should clarify...timely hitting.

Id say we had some good timely hitting in Game 1 of supers.

I think Arkansas is loaded. LSU will battle with Ole Miss and State for 2nd in the West.

Rhymes is a quality hitter who went into a slump towards the end of the season, and really when he cut his hair, that is kind of what started it. Rightfully so, the kid was hitting over .500 half of the damn season.

He will bounce back fine I'm sure.

I disagree with this..I fully expect LSU to compete for the West and the overall SEC title. No reason we shouldn't compete for these titles.

I'm expecting him to contribute big time this season. I think he could be on of our leading HR hitters.

He looked promising as a freshman. The damn season needs to get here already.

Rhymes had me convinced he was a fluke by the end of the SR. A singles hitter that doesn't single. What is that worth.

A singles hitter that doesn't single? Tha fuq? He had 100 hits last year and like a .430 batting average. What in the hell are you talking about?

I think we will certainly compete, but it's hard to argue against Arkansas winning the entire SEC if you want to talk talented players coming back for them. Even with the loss of Baxendale, they have THREE stud pitchers that I think might all start. Stanek, Astin, and Suggs could start for damn near any team in the country. But again, their problem last year was hitting and timely hitting. So we shall see. All I know for certain is that the SEC West is staaasckkedd and Auburn and Alabama still suck.

I think A&M lost a lot of pitching this season. They may be lackluster, but they always seem to have a decent program.

Man I forgot about Stanek. How the hell did he not make any list?

One good thing for LSU, with the exception of the Arkansas series, our tough series are at home.

Kentucky
Florida
USCe
Ole Miss

Great home slate for SEC purposes. I'd still like to see a solid non conference team come in. One that is proven or up and coming..Oregon would be a team I'd like to bring down here.
