There's been a trade

Tthomas sends:

Jose Bautista OF, Jesus Montero C/DH, First round pick (3 overall), second round pick (22 overall)

MWG sends:

Jonathan Papelbon RP, Hanley Ramirez SS/3B, Kris Medlen SP/RP, first round pick (6 overall), third round pick (30 overall)

There was a couple times in the negotiations that I thought we weren't going to get a deal done.

But, I think this is something we both liked for our squads.

Keepers for MWG:

C - Jesus Montero
1B - Eric Hosmer
2B - Robinson Cano
3B - Aramis Ramirez
SS - Starlin Castro
OF - Jose Bautista
SP - Matt Cain
SP - Jarrod Parker
SP - Trevor Bauer
RP - Aroldis Chapman

In 213 at-bats at C, Montero had an OPS of .841 with 10 HRs

In 301 at-bats at DH, Montero had an OPS of .574 with 5 HRs

Play the MF'er at Catcher!

Can someone answer some questions I have for this league:

I imagine its a daily league correct?

Starts limit in a week for pitchers?

Add/drops in a week?

How many players on the roster? DL spot? Starting positions?

Jose Bautista OF for Hanley Ramirez SS/3B,

Probably a push for me, maybe a slight lean to Hanley due to Bautista's injury.

Jesus Montero C/DH for Kris Medlen and Papelbon

The two pitchers are much better than Montero (and I almost always favor bats)

First round pick (3 overall), second round pick (22 overall) for first round pick (6 overall), third round pick (30 overall)

Assuming Bautista and Hanley are a wash, I think with your (Thom) need for keepers, the slight downgrade in these two picks was well worth getting Papelbon and Medlen
