@TaylorHamm247: Hoza Scott is now officially an Aggie. He just committed to A&M

La Porte LB Hoza Scott said he is working on other top 2014 prospects, like Tony Brown to go with him to #TAMU

Not unexpected. He's a really good player.

I thought he already committed. Must be mistaking him for someone else.

Texas A&M is definitely on a roll right now, hopefully they'll tank next year and we can swoop in.

I don't know what language this is, but I'm very certain it has no place on the recruiting board.

Yea, the "battered Aggie" in me wants to see us string 3-4 10 win seasons in before I believe we're relevant again.

It is related to my avatar, and you are correct it belongs on the soccer board.

(I miss Di Matteo, though. /hijack)

I think Manziel could be a "savior" in a sense. I think y'all will be able to compete with him on the team. The biggest thing will be bringing in talent so that post-Tebow Florida doesn't happen, but it's sort of a positive feedback loop right now. Y'all play well and attract the interest of great players, and so on, and so on.

I love how these guys always say "officially" committed. No, that won't occur until February 2014.

I agree with this. I live here in Houston and have always thought A&M is a sleeping giant similar to LSU pre-Saban.

While A&M seems on the way up and possibly approaching powerhouse status, let's let them put together more than 1 above average season and win the SEC once before we anoint them. A&M does have a Bama like schedule next year, so they got that going for them.

I got ridiculed for saying A&M would have not only success, but quick success at that in the SEC

SEC team in Texas...not really that hard to figure out.

LOL. They struck lightening in a bottle with Manziel. Otherwise, they would be a .500 team in the conference.

I guess it's possible that they could capitalize on the success moving forward, but that would mean a significant strengthening of the program from where it was when it entered the SEC.

In short, you may end up being right but for all of the wrong reasons.

I've been following A&M religously fo 35-40 years so I've seen the peaks and valleys. I remember the streak of 10 win seasons and recuriting domination of 85-95 fondly. (and the good years in the mid 70's) We're set up to be successful long term as much as anyone...now lets see if we can do it.

Texas sliding, new staff at TAMU, move to SEC, Heisman winner. It would be strange if they weren't recruiting well.
