I went to the dentist today for a check up and I had been noticing 2 teeth turn (not significantly but still) and want to keep these bad boys straight so he mentioned seeing an orthodonist and talking to them about Invisalign or some other procedure that would keep them straight.
Anyone ever had this done? How much did it cost you?
If it's something that can be hidden or invisible then I'm game for it but if my only option is full blown braces I'll wait b/c its not that bad...

I have friends that have used them with great results. It is a little pricier I believe that the standard version but being able to conceal the fact that you are wearing braces is worth it. The only thing is that they sounded like they had a lisp until they got used to talking with them in.

As opposed to Invisalign for something other than braces? 
Negative ghostrider, but my brother has and it really helped him. Was kind of pricey though.

I'm 25 with 5 weddings this next year. Def don't want to rock the metal mouth for these events haha. Plus that would throw me off my game

I had to go full for jaw surgery, got clear on the top.
Invisalign you'll be looking at least $4000 if you only have to do one arch, more for two

My front teeth started moving forward this year to the point where I cannot bite anything. I can almost stick my whole pointer finger through the gap.
My doctor told me that the jaw surgery doesn't work half of the time, and that I should consider Invisalign. She said all they do is put some glue stuff on your teeth and then change out the things from there. It is gonna cost around $5k and take 1.5yrs

I did it after college. I didn't wear my retainers from HS braces. It cost $3,500 but differs everywhere.

Ok I def won't have to do anything related to jaw surgery.
I'm talkin about 2 teeth that are starting to turn. It's not that obvious at all but I don't want to wait until it gets worse. I'd rather get it taken care of now.

It depends on what your issue is, and how bad it is. But usually invisalign is only for straightening and very minor issues, usually with people that already had braces, etc. not for major ortho work. That's why dentists can do invisalign, and don't have to be orthodontists

Then invisalign should be right up your alley, and I'd guess run you about $4000

Yeah my shite ain't bad, just wish I had worn the retainers and took it more.seriously as a kid so they would be perfect now. Esp knowing how much that shite was costing my Mom in hindsight.

the most prosperous person in Potomac, MD (other than Dan Snyder and Queen Noor of Jordan) is the ordthodontist who sells invasilgns for virtually every kid in town.

My dentist sent me to an oral surgeon and he said both my jaws need to be broken. Said average 7G a jaw. Thats not counting the braces before and after. Have about a quarter inch gap on my left side where my teeth don't touch, can only eat on my right side and those teeth are grinding down. Do you remember how much all your work cost? How was the recovery?

I'm actually in the process because I was too much of a puss to commit earlier. I hate doctors and hospitals.
$12,000 for my upper, $20,000 if they have to do both. Braces ended up around $5000.
My bite sucked enough that my insurance is covering my surgery, thank god. It has to be demonstrated as a functional problem, otherwise insurance tries to call it cosmetic

My insurance would only cover half of it. I figured everything to be between 20-25 thousand. I don't have any pain so I don't feel its necessary right now but I'm just worried about problems down the road.

I did it. It is pricey, but so much better than braces. You can always remove the trays if you are going out for the night or have a meeting. I can't remember how much I paid.
