If you were to compare the Patriots to a soccer team, then I would use either Man U or Barcelona.

Neither is really a great comparison though. The Pats are the Pats and that is that.

Manchester United won some championships about a decade ago with one of the best defenses in the league and a little help from cheating (spygate) and then never won another championship after they were caught cheating and after their stud defenders retired or were traded?
