This whole thing is just another big sham put on by the NFL. Goodell and the NFL planned this whole thing out in cahoots with Tagliabue.
Basically, this is just something that the NFL can now use in the defamation case to say, "Look Judge Berrigan!!! Even the arbiter (hand picked by Goodell himself) agrees with ALL of our findings!!! It can't be defamation if it's true!!! And OBVIOUSLY he was impartial because he even said the punishments were too severe and overturned the suspensions (after they had already missed time and the Saints season was over)!!!!"
This is the biggest fraud attempted in this whole thing, and of course the brainless and lazy fricking media and most of our fans are going to accept it thinking we've won some kind of victory.
Think about this, Tags basically said he agrees with the league's findings, but the players can't be punished because they were only following orders.
Well if he agrees with all findings, that means HE AGREES THAT THERE WAS INTENT TO INJURE, BUT ONLY THE COACH CAN BE PUNISHED, NOT THE PLAYERS.
So the precedent now is that a coach can go to a player, tell that player to take a QBs knees out, and THE PLAYER CAN DO IT WITHOUT BEING PUNISHED.
THAT is what Tagliabue has told the world today.
Of course, that isn't what he, or anyone else, wants the NFL to stand for. But Tags HAD to say he agreed with the findings, or Goodell would have been fricked in his defamation case, and this was always about protecting Goodell.
As usual, the NFL is thinking in the short term, not the long term, which has been their error in the entire approach to this case.
Enjoy your victory everyone. It truly means nothing and was a calculated attempt to get Goodell out of a huge judgement from Judge Berrigan.
The NFL will quickly change position if anything like this comes up again with "bounties" or performance pools, but of course, based on this entire saga, they are betting that they've gotten their message across, and it will never come up again.
And of course, they also realize the odds of coaches and players intentionally trying to hurt each other is virtually never going to happen, just like it didn't actually happen in New Orleans.

If so, then this would open up a WHOLE new can of worms with lawsuits and not being able to punish players for anything done on the field....
I think they are just trying anything they can to save face... they know now what Goodell did was wrong with the punishments and are trying to get out the easiest way possible with the least amount of damage

But the cats out of the bag now. All fans, except Failcons and Viqueens fans, will soon come around to the Saints side on this.

You've said a million times this could all be avoided, and CSP is an arrogant prick, and the players should stop fighting, and we deserve all this, etc..
Go frick yourself. I said like 2 days ago the hearing isnt over yet, so you shouldnt bash the team and you posted some facepalm gif. You are a troll. You admitted it a bunch of times, you only come on here to frick with fans of the Saints and you enjoy nothing more than trolling the board. And this season you love the entertainment you get from being a troll on purpose. You are a sad miserable old piece of shite.

Tagliabue had to save some face for the league, so blame it on organization and coaches that have no recourse against Goodell/NFL.

Well JizzyJeff, if you would stop posting or atleast stop being such a trolling frickstick all of the time i might feel better. A while back you made some jokes about the whole Jeff Duncan thing and how you just went with it and everyone shite on you, so you trolled for a while. It was funny we all laughed, then for like a day you stopped being such a dingleberry. Now you are right back to trolling for the sake of trolling. Is there a reason you cant just stop fricking polluting this board with your incessant bullshite and let us just enjoy the fricking fan forum most of us come on to discuss the Saints. The season is bad enough without a-hole queers like you coming on here just to entertain yourself by fricking with an outlet for fans of a raped franchise during a bullshite season on a message board dedicated to them. And i realize the trend is to ban posters like me and keep you around, so I'm sure you'll RA and I'll get banned and you'll stay around posting only garbage and never substance and every single word you type meant only to rape the little bit of joy out of the fans here, but w/e I'm tired of reading your shite anyway. If i get banned, at least it'll be incentive to stop wasting time trying to find fun on this message board that i am so fond of only to find the unbearable smell of your shite every time on click on it.

/me most likely.

Yeah that may have been a bit over the top. I do feel better after ranting at you. You said some things, i said some things, now i feel better. What I'm trying to say is: Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk? I didn't mean to call you that. I can't remember what was said or what you threw at me. Please tell me, please tell me why? My car is in the front yard, and I'm sleeping with my clothes on. I came in through the window last night, and you're gone. May your past be the sound of your feet upon the ground. Carry on. Some nights, I wish that my lips could build a castle. Some nights, I wish they'd just fall off.
