Villa Norwich is 1-1. Morrison lobbed Given and then Holman responded 2 minutes later with an (apparently) brilliant first time shot from outside the box.

In EPL news, Fletcher just put Sunderland up 2-0 with a backheel.

1) why are we playing such a strong side?

2) why are we losing to Bradford? Especially considering 1)...

Bc Vermaelen is overrated as hell and gave up a needless free kick right outside the box and then sagna inexplicably left his man at the back post for a wide open shot. And Gervinho can't finish and we struggle mightily with breaking down teams that put 10 behind the ball

They're not even lining up ten behind ball. It's barely even a formation that could be construed as defensive football.

A team that's fourth in League 2 looks more fluid in attack than Arsenal.

A new low.

Wut?

He's not even at 100% and is pretty much Arsenal's best player.

ETA: We should have played all youngins this game.. the "First Team" is tired and doesn't give a rats arse about the capital one cup.

4-1 Villa. Benteke adds a screamer from 20 to go with his assist.

Extra time to a League 2 side.

Somehow Gervinho will play all 120 minutes of this match.

Maybe that will mean he won't play against Reading on Monday.
