But seriously, I hope this is a small issue that is resolved very soon. He's one of my favorite players and I'd hate to see his career end so early.

We look forward to addressing that issue further possibly later in the week.

Guess this means he's making the road trip and may or may not play friday...?

I took it as meaning he would be addressing the media as to why he was suspended or a time line later in the week. I didn't take it as he will be playing later in the week.

"Oh yeah, definitely there's a chance that he could return this season at some point," Jones said. "We just have to make sure we're all on the same page and everybody, including Anthony, is committed to doing what's asked of him to be a an LSU Tiger and a student-athlete here at LSU.

"At the end of the day when he'll start playing again will be my decision. At what point and for how long will probably be a dual decision. If the university should allow him to come back or be released, I would have to make a decision at that point if it's the right time for our basketball team."

Best news of the week.

I don't know why, but I really dont think this will be a TM7 type of situation, in the sense that this is the first in a line of repeat offenses. From CJJ's comments, as well as Hickey's, it seems like this incident will be the last.

Sounds like he has been skipping over projects or for a teacher. The teacher dont take no shite and instead of giving him an F, told Jones about this. Now he has to do double the work or he gets an F in the clas. Just a guess that is probably facts.

Guys, it's completely drug related. Hardly care if you guys believe me. The kid got messed up at party. Wouldn't be shocked if there was a failed drug test. My source is a student who was at the party with Hickey. Hope he can get off the drugs.

I really frown on jumping to conclusions before anything is official. I plan on believing it was something minor until I hear otherwise... Probably why Im considered a posi-tiger.

While I'm not saying this isn't drug-related, you're making a pretty big assumption based upon the fact that a student saw him at a party using drugs. There are numerous athletes at every school, in every sport who use illegal drugs. The overwhelming majority never get caught. Without any other evidence to the contrary, I can't make the leap that this is "drug related" solely based upon the fact that a student purpotedly saw him using drugs at a party.
