Was reading an article in the Hattiesburg American that says Johnson's contract doesn't have the if hired elsewhere the buy out doesn't apply clause. How does a university let that happen. Someone needs to be fired for that

Just a couple of buddies that annoyed me growing up talking about how they could play in the SEC and be more competitive than Ole Miss and State. Talking about how we were scared to play USM when that isn't the case. And yeah, firing Bower really pissed me off.

So your hate for USM came from some people you know? They didn't fire Bower he resigned. Why does him resigning make you hate USM? I'm just curious about it, I'm not trying to get you fired up or anything.

For the most part yes. I know some cool USM fans. I know you guys aren't all bad. But the ones that claim Ole Miss and State are scared to play them get under my skin because it's fricking stupid. And saying that they could compete and win in the SEC when they barely win 7 games a year in C-USA also irritated me.

He was forced to resign. Which is the same thing as firing him essentially. Nutt wasn't fired at Arkansas, but just forced to resign. He was the most successful coach in USM's history and they ran him off because they thought the program deserved better. And it was after an 8 win season.

I work with an Ole Miss fan and he's always saying this shite and it's just stupid, I just let it go in one ear and out the other.

That was one of most wins in a season. It's not hard to win in a cupcake conference like C-USA, if you're a good coach you should AT LEAST win 8 games even on a bad year.

I hold degrees from BOTH Mississippi State and Southern Miss. I live in Hattiesburg and go to Southern Miss games and tailgate in the District, most of my family are Southern Miss grads.
Not obessesd just a fan.
