Starting in January i will be moving to LaPlace to do a clinical rotation and am looking for an adult league to participate in. Indoor or outdoor, doesn't matter.

Played JUCO ball and I don't suck. I know someone has space on their team or can give me some info on where to get involved.

Thanks!

If you want to play at Lafreniere in Kenner, SELASA is decent. Email Panos - great guy, used to coordinate schedules etc

Only gripe is games are on Sundays.

Awesome, thanks!

Anyone know anything about the Finn's team? Anyone play on it?

I was told that all of the SELASA teams' rosters were full.

If that's a problem, BRSA will place you on a team, if you contact them.

Apparently, SELASA doesn't have any mechanism for that.

well that sucks, i guess my only hope of getting on a team is if someone that frequents the soccer board plays for one of them. i'd much rather drive to kenner then BR, but i'll contact BRSA just incase.

Thanks sheep.

i play for a team in the top division at SELASA, but i think our roster is full and i don't have much pull on the team.

the finn's top team is solid. they beat us 3-0 on sunday. we play them in the cup finals next saturday and it should be another good game. depending on the outcome of the games on sunday, either them, uptown, or us will win the league. i like our chances.

after sunday, there will be a month or two break until the next season starts, so you should have some time to try to get on a roster.

awesome, thanks for the info. if any roster spots open up, count me in.

promise i'm not terrible, will pull my weight. i know i would be hesitant allowing some random on my competitive team.

play indoor in jackson in the D1 league and my team has made it to the semifinals/finals almost every year.

I know they have a league uptown on weekdays. Google it. I can't tell you anything about it.

I have a friend who plays in SELASA who, I think, quit recently due to injury.

will definitely keep you in mind, although like i said, i don't have much pull on my team. i've only been playing with them for two or three years when most of them have been on the same teams their entire lives.

i wouldn't think you would have a problem getting on a team out there though. seems like there are several teams who have problems keeping attendance up. hell, we played panos' team a couple weeks ago and they only had 7 or 8 players.

of the teams who have an email address listed on their website, i'd shoot an email to hellas and olympiakos. if you are mexican, send one to boca (note: they are awful).

in the second division, i think finns II may be looking for some players. a buddy of mine that plays in that division just got asked to join their team.

I've been playing in the 3rd division of the Crescent City league. It's like a hybrid between indoor and outdoor.

It's small field, but plays like outdoor. It feels more like actual soccer than indoor does.

Honestly, if you're in LaPlace you can get to Burbank in about 40-45 minutes, which is where all the BRSA games are.

You have several options like others have said.
SELASA division 1 or 2
Crescent City soccer 6v6 Uptown off Freret or 11v11 at Newman
Indoor Soccer in Harahan
Or you could join a BRSA adult team in Baton Rouge

Ha, I think you worked over my boys the Doodze last weekend in a cup match. They called me up the day of seeing if I wanted to play. One reason I left was that low commitment level/always playing down a man or two.

There's a pretty good indoor center 15 min outside of BR off Nicholson/HWY 30 called Premier. Might be fun to stop by if passing through.

If anyone needs a white Raheem Sterling on the wing I'll meet personal terms on $2,000 a week. If you're cool I could lower that to $1500.

haha yeah they started out with 10 players. then, about 10 minutes in to the second half i went in for a slide tackle and one of their guys tripped over the ball and when he fell he dislocated his shoulder. they loaded him up and took him to the hospital, so they were down to 8. at that point it got ugly.

@ saderade -

i am too. we've had a gaping hole in our center midfield for the last three or four weeks and i think it will be shored up this coming weekend.
