Since the trade market is opening at the end of the week, I have surfing all the rumors and trade scenarios for our young team. Post your thoughts for Dealing Dell.

I like trades involving Tyreke Evans and Danny Granger as at least realistic options to add to the team.

To start off, you have to identify your trade assets and what you can get for them.

We obviously will make trades.

Anthony Davis is an obvious no.

We will not trade Gordon any time soon. His value is too low and his contract too large. You NEED him to come in, be healthy, and absolutely light it up the rest of this year and into next year to even have a shot at moving him, if that's what they want to do in the long run.

Ryan Anderson would get high value, but I seriously doubt we would part with him unless the value is just too good to be true. So he's a probably not.

Your most obvious guys to try and move are:

Greivis: he has proven himself to a certain degree, and you might be able to get some decent value.

Aminu and Henry. Athletes, you won't get much for them but they can certainly be put in a larger deal to add some small value. Sweetener to a deal.

Smiht: 7 footer, good jumper, team guy that fights hard, really small contract. I hope we don't move him, I don't think we will, but he would have some value.

I doubt we make any significant moves without seeing the full team on the floor. The main assets (EG, AD, Ryan) are not going anywhere and the rest of the guys who have value (Gravy, Smiht, Aminu, Lopez) are the type of players we need going forward (productive + cheap)

I think our two biggest needs are a starting caliber 3, and a back up 5, with everyone healthy.

Most expendable players:
-Aminu, Henry, and Mason.

Unfortunately, you have to give something to get something. Looking at a depth chart, considering players with value, J-Smoove might be our best trade asset that we could part with (production + decent contract+ our current depth at the position). I would hate to get rid of him, but if we got a decent back up 5 out of it, we would be more than covered at the 4 with Davis and Anderson. What we would be missing though, is Jason's leadership.

With that being said, unless we land a ridiculous offer, I don't see any major trades happening with the current group of players. Maybe another Warrick-esque deal, that includes Henry, Roberts, Miller, of Aminu- but nothing ground breaking.

Your post is spot on but you need to add Lopez to the group of obvious trade assets. There's even already been rumors/internet proposals of Courtney Lee and a 1st to send Lopez to Boston.

The problem with moving Lopez and his very flexible contract for someone like Lee is you may tie up enough cap space to keep you from going after the big fish in FA.

I don't know who they go after on the FA market that is a max player.

:inb4CP3:

Maybe they go after Jennings with a big offer.

Assuming Gordon comes back at his pre injury level, I think being a salary dump for a team with tax problems is the most likely scenario for a big name player.

Wouldn't mind seeing them go after Chalmers (mid level $) and Budinger if he comes back healthy. Redick would also be a nice addition for bench depth. Those guys would supplement the big 3
