People in this thread are talking about lack of support and such, but MM was winning at San Jose freaking State. They nearly beat Stanford, for crying out loud.

Unless I'm mistaken, SJS doesn't have the entrance requirements of Colorado.

They haven't been letting in the borderline student-athletes at Colorado since Gary Barnett was there AFAIK. An administration willing to take a few athletes of questionable academic background can make the difference between a good squad and a great squad or a bad squad and a mediocre squad.

I was listening to a reporter talk about the hire on the Tim Brando Show and apparently the facilities at CU are so behind the press box doesn't even have access to a women's restroom.

I think UT should have gotten this guy instead of Butch Jones.

MacIntyre was custom made for SEC. SEC roots, he has pro football experience, and he could have competed with Stoops easily. I think UT messed up that one, and UK to a point. But he messed up going to CU.

I listened to some of his press conference driving home from work. He sounds enthusiastic, passionate, and said all the right things. He recognizes the challanges he's facing and he can't wait to get started.
