What will be the construction status by the start of next football season? They yanked down the video board on that side a few days ago. Will that mean that the entire stadium will have to look at the North scoreboard, likely blinding those sitting in the NEZ from seeing scores or replays?

OR, will one or both of those new jumbo screens be finished by the start of next season? I think this is a legitimate question that I don't believe LSU has addressed yet. Has anyone else heard anything?

If you're going to bitch about not having screens in the SEZ for one season you're going to games for all the wrong reasons.

Dude, he's not bitching. He just asked a question. Relax. So people who watch the screens during the game are at the game for the "wrong reasons"?

Sorry you're having a shitty Monday, but not knowing the score of the game or being able to see replays (challenges, booth reviews) would defiantly concern me if I were a fan sitting underneath the NEZ video board

The north endzone board will be the only one available

Yeah, because it's so difficult to turn around and watch that big board in the NEZ. Maybe a few rows will be affected by it. But again, it's for one season while they're working on a major addition to the greatest stadium in the country. I think you can deal.

I don't know why losers like you two are so up-in-arms over a simple question. Is this not a discussion forum? If you don't have any valuable insight as to the projected status of the stadium's construction by next season, then why comment at all? Are you that bored at your cubicle 9-5 that you need to re-live the high school glory days of snarky comments vicariously through irrelevant, useless posts on TD?

I'm so puzzled that rather than just saying to yourself "I don't know when certain milestones of the expansion project will be reached," you set aside time out of your day to construct a couple of sentences that literally stand to do nothing productive outside of coddling your ego in the spirit of anonymous, internet approval for like-(absent)minded individuals. But hey man, whatever gets you off.

Also don't forget the south endzone scoreboard is where the PA system/speakers were located. So yeah, it is kind of important to have something in place for the Fall.

Jumbo screens most likely won't be up until towards the end of the season. And they may not be functional until the start of the 2014 season. Either way, its not like people in the NEZ could actually see anything on that tiny piece of junk in the SEZ anyway.

Stop taking this shite so seriously man.

I'd imagine the video boards aren't exactly the priority for next season. In fact, as in most stadium construction, things like video boards are often the last thing to go in. The thing isn't due to be finished until 2014. I highly doubt the video boards would go up a full year early. But that's just me using common sense and shite here in my 9x5 cubicle.

True. Another reason why I think it's necessary that we have a new big screen functioning in at least one of those corners. I don't see how it would be a huge stretch. If they are not going to have the main infrastructure of the new suites and stands established by august, then what else would they be doing for the next 8 months? I feel like all a screen would need is a leg to stand on.

Again, things like this won't be anywhere near ready to permanently go in by September. My best guess would be we see some type of temporary concert type set up for game days next year. I think Bama did something like that during their construction.

I've heard from a reliable source that in order to be fair to everyone in the stadium, LSU is just going to unplug the north endzone scoreboard until the south endzone is complete

Oh I don't know, pouring concrete pillars to support a major renovation of a nearly 100yr old stadium.

Yeah, that's all it needs.......... in Louisiana............ in the middle of hurricane season.

I'd imagine 9 is kind of high for the mentality of the rant.
