So what are the chances the same player wins comeback POY & MVP?
Posted by Tiger1242 on 12/9/12 at 4:52 pm00
Whether its Peyton Manning or AP, I mean one of them is a lock for comeback POY and they both have a legit shot at MVP.
If you ask me AP is the best player in football right now so I think he should win both; but I bet they split the awards

Very high consider both AP and Manning are the top candidates for both

Manning, Luck, and AP are right up there for MVP, IMO.
I probably have the biggest boner for Luck on this board, but frick no. Are you out of your damn mind?

I see no good argument to say Manning is having a better year than AP statistically. But since he's a QB and te Broncos will be a playoff team he may win all 3.
ETA: oh you're saying manning wins MVP and Comeback POY and AP wins OPOY, I thought the AD was a typo at first I agree with you

AD deserves it. Guy is unbelievable.

what AP has done is more impressive IMO.
He had an INSANELY big procedure involving both ACL AND MCL and was back to dominating less than a year afterward...as a running back....against 8 man fronts.

For sure. He still looks like he's limping out there sometimes and he's STILL unstoppable, it's amazing

Didn't you say multiple times that Peyton would never play football again and also claim that your opinion carried more weight due to your profession?

I said he wouldn't be the same and would not be an effective NFL QB...I was dead wrong. I did not see how he would be able to regain the ability to throw deep outs, other NFL throws when he was apparently still having significant neurological compromise as late as last spring/summer. The thing is, with all of the fusions he has had...the other levels of his cervical spine...WILL wear down and will wear down sooner rather than later. His neck needs to rotate at SOME level to turn his head and it is now unable to at the operated levels...hence further breakdown at the other facet joints.

I did not claim that. But if you feel like it did then thanks.

It just sticks out because I also remember you claiming there was no way Bosh would come back for the finals, and if he did then he couldn't be very effective. Seems like some terrible calls for a PT. Good at that job, eh?

Bosh is going to be nowhere near 100% healthy until next year. They will still lose to the deeper team from the West. ...

how is this saying Bosh wouldn't come back for the finals or that he wouldn't be an effective contributor. Bosh has said repeatedly that he struggled through the pain. He went to rehab all summer (one of the reasons he missed the olympics).
quote:
The Miami Heat forward told USA Basketball on Friday that he is withdrawing from consideration for the London Games so he can continue to recover from the strained abdominal muscle that sidelined him for a portion of his team's run to the NBA championship. Bosh announced the decision through agent Henry Thomas one day after Heat teammate Dwyane Wade pulled out of the Olympic mix because of looming left knee surgery.
"This injury was a pretty serious one," Thomas said of Bosh. "He was able to come back and play under the circumstances because he was trying to contribute to them winning a championship. There's still pain. There's still discomfort. And the real concern is if he doesn't rest and do the rehab associated with the injury, this could become sort of a chronic thing for him."
I missed the call on the series but not sure how that makes me a bad PT.
And actually I'm quite good at it.. as the success and growth of my corporation would attest to. Being that I get the chance to evaluate these guys and definitely have significantly more information on their specific cases at my personal disposal than the normal sports fan, sports talk radio listener, and internet message board poster... I can see how my supposed botching of these diagnoses makes me an abject failure at my job. But please continue your trolling though as you're obviously quite good at claiming other teams as your own after the fact in a joking manner that stopped being funny about two years ago and at just being an overall shitty contrarian poster.

Doubt the Vikings have two wins without Adrian.

I'm not saying he should win the comeback POY or get serious consideration but Thomas Davis is a warrior. The guy has blown out his knee how many times? He has managed to stay healthy this year and had a good game today. Don't follow the Panthers so I don't know how well he's played all year but he deserves a tip of the hat in my opinion.
