Something like this would make for the perfect hunting/fishing camp, especially for security reasons if you add burglar bars to the windows.

with enough pontoons, or the right size barge, "yes", you could float it.

Maybe I just don't get it. He still studded the interior. So he saved money by not having to pour a slab or sheet the exterior and roofing. Those containers cost around 5k-10k each and there are two of them, plus they were coated and painted.

Definitely different but I don't think very cost effective unless the containers were free.

This is so odd. I dreamed I survived the zombie appocolypse in one of these the other night.

You can pick them up for way less than that. You could buy two or three for 5k. The advantage is that they are a lot tougher and much more secure than a built wood structure.

I would take the metal sections I cut out for the windows and make them into a shutter system.

Not where I live can you get 3 for 5k. If that's the case I will buy two right now.

Not saying I wouldn't do it. I would probably do a metal building kit.

I wish they were that price in Lubbock. Unless it can be used for cotton you can forget about it.

I would do it for that price for sure. I probably would have had that tin can sprayed with foam insulation instead of batts.

Some people give them away here. I know a few folks who have made offices out of them.

It's how everything is shipped here. No road system so the barge is our best friend. I've got one on my property that was here when I bought it, store my snow machines in.

Not even close. A place on the Ponchatoula side of I-12 at the Airport Exit sells them. The big ones go for I think around 3k and the small ones can be had for 1800.

A friend if mine will be building a place in the DR out of those. Seasonal restaurants on the boardwalk up here are made out of those
