Why, in 2012, in the SOUTH, do restaurants feel the need to do this?

The quickest way for me to never return to a restaurant is to inform me that only Pepsi products are served, or that they switched from Coke recently.

Sometimes waitresses don't tell me it's Diet Pepsi after I order a Diet Coke (with my triple heart attack bacon cheeseburger) and I yell at them when that foul elixir hits my taste buds.

I don't think Pepsi drinkers care whether or not it's Coke or Pepsi, but Coke drinkers can't stand it 9 times out of 10.

The restaurant in question is IHOP.

Bastards, the lot of them.

it's all about making a profit and 99% of people don't choose a restaurant based on their sodas.

IHOP is a national brand and they don't care about your small little bubble you live in.

I like both. Either way there should be something you can drink other than coke.

I agree...not a good decision at all to push pepsi in the south...we have a real "sweet toof' down here...suprised me to find that the western states are exactly opposite...
