Well, they were giving students free tickets if they make the trip...so that's kind of inflated.

They're playing with the numbers somehow.

If so that's cool. I know they were only averaging like 15,000 and were expected to come up with a few thousand more then that.

True, but it is still pretty impressive for a MAC school.

Tickets are listed as low as $2 on stubhub... guess it's FSU that isn't selling any tickets then.

FSU should donate those tickets to veterans of our military service

Didn't they average around 12k attendance for their home games? now they sold out 17k for a trip 1000 miles from campus?

I am sure many folks would look for any excuse to get out of Illinois in January for Florida, but something still doesn't seem to add up.

Yeah, but the fact that students are actually making the trip is a win for NIU.

Two of my friends that graduated from there only knew about the Orange Bowl invite because I told them.

There aren't just the 2 schools' tickets, those $2 stinging tickets are probably local tickets. It's not a 35000 seat stadium.

Awesome but let's wait and see how many are in the seats on gameday.

That's pretty sad that FSU can't sell their allotment to the fricking Orange Bowl. I get its not a good matchup but it's still an instate BCS Bowl Game.

Well, someone had to pay for those "free" tickets, so the OB got its money.
