I'm 44 and Race Bannon was the shite. Red flap shirt, tight arse gray slacks and could always produce a Tommy gun!

While watching Skyfall, when Bond ends up in the pit with the komodo dragons, did any of you have flashbacks to the Jonny Quest episode with the Sumo guy/komodo dragons? It immediately popped into my head during that scene.

Same age and all my friends and I thought it was the best cartoon on TV.

the Komodo dragons,

Awesome episode. Race's quote, "they are as big as crocodiles". Love JQ.

My five year old watches an episode on the DVR every morning before going to school. He loves them. There were 26 episodes of the original series. Linked is a great interview with Joe Barbera on youtube about the show. The opening credits are actually the promo Hanna/Barbera produced to pitch the show to ABC. That's why some of the kick arse scenes in the opening theme actually have different star characters and never actually appear in any Jonny Quest episodes.
