And this comes on a day when CBSSports.com calls LSU the top early season surprise in SEC basketball.

Hopefully he can come back and get his shite together unlike honey badger. Hickey is an integral part of our offense, and even more so our defense.

Well he is tight with the Era Nation crew.

I'd guess grades/cheating based on timing. Good kid, good player, bad decision.

Ha! I think we've been there and done that and know that won't work. I would hope CJJ has seen enough to know better.

I really liked what I saw of Collins in a pre-season scrimmage I saw but it hasn't translated to games. Looks like he's pressing a bit too much.

We're gonna struglle without Hickey. Hopefully it's a temporary suspension. My perception is that it is. Sounds to me like a University mandated one much like Matthieu's that the coach had no real say about. Maybe like Matthieu's first where he must sit 10% of the games or some such.

This is Corban Collins chance to prove himself and earn playing time. I am sure you are right and Stringer and Carmouche start. Collins will sub for either of them during the game.

Another outside possibillity is he could play Eddie at the 3 and free up Morgan to play 2 guard. Not likely but Eddie did play there when Stringer was out last year and did a fairly good job.

I actually think Collins can play at this level Tom, though he's mostly struggled when he has played. Seems like he's trying to hard to make something happen every minute he's in cause he fears the quick hook. And in turn it gets him the quick hook.

Now I'd still rather have Hickey of course but I think Collins will prove adequate with some experience.

This sucks and deserves a sticky. I don't see how we avoid a major dropoff.
