I met a Climpsn fan yesterday, and he didn't care in the slightest that they were about to play one of the best programs in the country, because they had already lost their Superbowl to the Cocks. He also said many if not most of their fans want Dabo gone even though they're doing better than normal lately, in account of being Cock slapped too much.

No worse than any other

We just have a forum that allows for it.

I can't speak for others, I can only speak about the one I know which is LSUs.

We have some pretty entitled fans who think that we should go undefeated and win the National Championship season every single year no matter what, and if we don't the season was a complete failure and everything needs to be reevalauted.

Not saying no other fan base is like that, but I don't know them.

Our fan base is pretty pathetic at times.

I agree with this. This site allows for just about any topic to be discussed. It also allows for just about anybody to read what is posted. Just because someone posts here doesn't mean he/she is rational. You get the good with the bad.

The double standard of the LSU "fans" is the height of hypocrisy.

When the "fans" are criticized for leaving early, not showing up, unrealistic expectations, lack of overall knowledge about the game, etc...they are all too quick to make excuses and say all fanbases are like this.

However, these same "fans" hold the university, the coaches and the team to an elite standard with zero margin for error.

A large percetage of LSU "fans" suck arse.

Fan base of any elite program thinks they should be in the championship every year.

Who are the "elite" programs these days???

It's been debated on this board that LSU is NOT elite...who is elite and what defines it?

That's fine. Do all fan bases bash their team to no end and talk about how bad the coaching staff sucks and want the best coach in the history of their program fired when it doesn't happen every year or no?

Yes, except for Alabama and they have no reason, going for another championship and completely delusional.

LSU's fan base isn't much different than any other, just a little more intense than some which isn't a bad thing.

In short yes, the ones that care do. They are just as polarized here in Florida at the big 3 schools as we Tiger fans are. They are just as jaded. They sell or give away their tickets to the North Texas and Towson type games. They leave at the half of blowouts. They party too loud and at times too hard just like us.
We have become like the Little Johnnies and Little Suzies who's Soccer Mom keeps telling them how special and how different and how better they are.
See guys other schools have tradition other schools have rabid fans other schools have whiny arse message boards. You know what makes us a "better" fan base? We are Tiger Fans! We have better food at tailgates! Other than that our fan base is pretty much the same as the rest of the top 10-20 programs. We all dig us some college ball enough to yak about it on message boards when our boys aint playin'

I really think all fan bases have that element in spades. I was surprised to hear how Clemson fans completely melted down over losing to a pretty good USCe program. It wasn't just frustration, it was gnashing of teeth and rending of garments. They sounded tempermental and completely irrational, with no perspective at all.

I think a lot of the fairweather fans are bad, aka my wife (couldn't care less about football or sports in general) and one of my friends (huge saints fan, but doesn't know much about any other NFL team or sports outside of saints).

We lose to (now) #3 Florida and #2 Alabama by a combined 12 points, go 10-2 in the SEC, and they say LSU sucks and had a horrible season. But they're not on here bitching about the state of the program either.

The only part of our fanbase I really have a problem with is the part that seems to be constantly wringing their hands about the state of our fanbase.
