2 more seasons of Caprica would have been a great lead in to that, and then pick it up with B&C.

Yeah and they took too long to move the episodes along. A couple of episodes going over the setup to the war, show how corrupt the civilization is, theen another couple to show how they abused the cylons, used them to crush dissenting planets, etc then mid season have the revolt.

Instead we got stupid arse avatar crap for a whole season and no action whatsoever.

The avatar was needed, I think to show how they got their sense of "morality". But it didn't need to be so in depth. I wouldn't have minded seeing more of the turmoil between the Taurons and Capricans, and that civil war going on too. So much more could have been done with more time with the Caprica series. I thought it was a solid show, and it was just hitting its stride when they forced them to try to wrap it up with just 5 episodes at the end.

I thought Caprica was pretty solid, way better than most of the garbage on sy fy now.

Anybody read any Neal Stephenson? Caprica had a little snow crash vibe going with the virtual world sword fighting

I really enjoyed Caprica too. I still have the last 5 episodes on my DVR.

I liked the depth of the characters. I think many went into it thinking it was going to be more action and that's what turned some off from it. There were multiple storylines going on at once, but you could tell they would eventually tie in together. If they'd been given more time, they could have done a great job of it. As it is, you have to speculate that Zoey's avatar is the basis for the moral compass the cylons have and they developed their sense of humanity from it.
