Bought a brand new prodrive this year. Put it on a 19ft skiff. What add ons did you put on yours to increase performance? Was it worth it in the long run?

I put fuel pumps on all of them, helps out if you're running thru lillies or mud. I don't like the idea of taking a 36hp and turning it into a 50. You start dicking with heads and what not on a block that's not made for it and you're going to wind up in a bind.

I made my 36 into 72

I went with everything. You can do small things and be ok but you go stage 3 like I did and you better learn to work on them. Get a stage 1 kit from se tx and it should be fine.

friend bought a highly modified motor that is "stage 3"(what ever that means) and has had numerous problems with it. it reinforces my philosophy of keeping engines stock cause that's how they were designed to run. when you start tweaking engines to the top level of performance it sees stresses that it wasn't designed for. in short KISS is a good motto that i live by.

Iron mountain heads, BPS Q exhaust. Stay with bolt on enhancements and you'll be fine. Heads,Carb,Exhaust, elect fuel pump. 300 hrs and havent skipped a beat.
