2. Strong stays at Louisville without upping the years on his contract or recieving increased compensation. Why would Strong turn down 4 Million a year to coach UT, answer, because he was never contacted.

No, Strong re-signed through 2020.

Jason La Confora qouted Hugh Jackson on twitter in saying "Its news to me" in regards to interest in job. Didnt say whether or not he had been or is expecting to be contacted.

"Pacify the fan base as negotiations are still ongoing"? Please explain just exactly how this smokescreen has pacified anyone in Big Orange Country? To those of us who are rational, all he has done is royally piss off anyone connected to the program. BUT: in your fantasy world, this would make Gruden as famous as Nicky, with his famous quote of "I'll never be the coach at bama". Chucky didn't go that far, but far enough.

Hue Jackson is known for two things :

1) Referring to himself in the third person

2) Having a 'loose' interpretation of the truth.

Also, claiming to drink during Friday night film sessions and pedicures. But, mostly, the first two things.

That is true. He is a great offensive mind. Not sure how well his personality would translate to college. But he did have the Raiders looking good until Jason Campbell went down.

I heard from a Friend of the Mannings that Peyton is rear his ugly head to UT AD and is putting the hard push for Tony Dungy.

Actually, I think he's best suited for college.

I think he could be good with boosters. I think he could recruit. I think he can coach at a pretty high level, as well.

He doesn't play with others, IMO, but that's not an issue in college. As a college HC, you're the man in charge of everything.

He could succeed in college.

I have no doubt about his coaching abilities. Its hard to say he would be a good recruiter just because he has never done it before. I think he would need an experienced college staff. No doubts about his coaching abilities though. And he has no draft picks to trade away in college so thats a plus.

Sources have told me that the past 3 days have all been a smoke screen by Dave Hart to pacify the fan base as negotians are still ongoing with Jon Gruden.

I hope, I genuinely hope that Gruden is the man. He is a career .540 head coach who has never been a head coach at the college level and will come across as a bigger douche than Saban, without the beef to back it up. Yeah....I know, Super Bowl ring...guess what? The bootlegger's son Barry has one too, but nobody thought it was a clear indication of his coaching ability.
