and be done with it. He's the obvious choice. He has ORANGE hair, for Pete's sake! The writing is on the wall. If they did hire him, UT would be a force again, starting next year.

If he is hired, UT will have just about everyone coming back from this year & they had a danged good Offense. With Bray & their Receivers, they would light teams up. More importantly, he's a meticulous control freak, like Saban. He would instill discipline in the team. UT would win at least 9 games next year if they hired him.

I agree, after whiffing at everyone they have chased, go get the obvious best guy for the position. Is there any reason to think Petrino would not take the job if offered?

Dunno. If I were them, I'd say SCREW what people might think about the hire. Will be long forgotten after they start winning big. Dooley recruited pretty ell, better than the classes Petrino had at Arkansas.

Rivals recruiting rankings:

2012: 17th
2011: 13th
2010: 9th
2009: 10th Kiffin's class

Currently ranked 24th, with no Coach. Petrino could do a lot with what they have there now.

Not saying these things actually happen, but I wonder if the presidents of the SEC have had some back in the closet type of phone calls and have black balled Petrino from coming back to the SEC for a while. What do you think?

Considering no one has sniffed at Petrino, there must be a lot more baggage that we don't know about.

That's what I was thinking BHO, you hear all the talk that he was on Auburn's list , I really dont know about this, I think there's alot more behind the scenes that we dont know about.

You might be right, Seems like there was a lawsuit filed by all the other females that didnt get the job over the volleyball girl that Petrino was hanging with. Im like you the girls seemed like to me had filed a class action lawsuit against the Univ of Arky and I would assume Petrino also.

There isn't a lawsuit. He is almost certainly black balls himself, maybe not officially but it happened. If we would have won 7 games this year it wouldn't have been as bad...but the egg on the face and losing season is just too much for any AD to risk just yet. Next year maybe, and he might take a job with a mid major this year but.no.major.program will touch him for a while.

I would think that Petrino, or any other big name coach, would be indignant at this point. Tennessee is going to have to hire another up and coming coach, one that doesn't mind that he's the ultimate last resort

No lawsuit against Arky or Petrino has been filed.

Unless UT just cant handle the idea of hiring an adulterer, this is your best option.

shite, I agree. He'd take the job for $50k/year and an un-wrecked puke orange Harley.

I think UT is well passed that concern.
